Re: VESS - turned off

Not aware of a forward looking camera. In my emblem there is a radar projector, I believe. I leave my VESS turned on. It is not very loud, I do see pedestrians taking notice, and I don't like the potential liability. Generally, when one deliberately disconnects a safety feature, one is making the ve...

Re: 2019 Kona EV possible Cruise control problem

Yes, that has only happened to me when I am within radar range of the vehicle ahead. The bucking is my car trying to keep safe distance when I am overriding it with the pedal. After a couple of times, I stopped trying to crowd the vehicle I am following. It did happen once last week when I increased...

Re: OBD2 app for system data

I ended up removing it from my phone. You might try an uninstall, or leave your phone in the house and go for a drive so Andr...

Re: Welcome to the Kona Electric Forum

1. Where are you from? Ventura County, California 2. Why does the Kona Electric interest you? Range, features, DCFC capable, lifetime battery warranty, best dynamic cruise control I have ever driven, U-turn in a residential street and very easy to park anywhere, FUN TO DRIVE. Bought in early May, st...

Re: Is it safe to charge the Kona EV to 100%

One of the reasons I chose the Kona (I am in US) is the lifetime battery warranty. I do understand now that the possibility of eventually getting a “free” replacement battery is tiny. The risk of the lifetime warranty cost to Hyundai in the general population is also tiny. The warranty only applies ...
