They have the same drivetrain, but the Niro EV is not as efficient. It's only rated by the EPA for a range of 239 miles, vs the Kona Electric's 258 miles. The trade-off, however, is that the Niro is larger.
It's also expected to be slightly more expensive than the Kona EV.
